ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY
Kerry Ann has spent her entire career FIGHTING to give a voice to the voiceless. She has repeatedly stood up to big establishment to bring about accountability and transparency, regardless of personal risk.
-
She fought as a prosecutor to bring accountability to criminals and protect the helpless and vulnerable by bringing tough cases to trial.
-
She fought against the Michigan Parole Board to block countless early release decisions handed out to dangerous convicted murderers and rapists.
-
She is the only attorney in the State of Michigan whose fight resulted in the re-arrest and return to prison of a convicted violent child rapist who was wrongly released into the community by the powerful Parole Board.
-
She fought against sentence commutations of convicted murderers and rapists in prisons across the state in direct opposition to powerful politicians as well as dangerous murderers and rapists.
-
She fought to bring transparency to powerful government bureaucrats awarding lucrative taxpayer-funded contracts to family members under cover of night.
-
Kerry Ann was also not afraid to fight against unethical behaviors of powerful judges by alerting the Judicial Tenure Commission of blatant conflict of interest situations purposely kept hidden from the public.
"As County Commissioner, I will always fight for accountability and transparency for WE the People of St. Clair County."
